A Dead Man from Iblin in a Shooting Incident Targeting His Home: Victim Number 28 Since the Beginning of 2026

SadaNews - Young man Muhammad Qasum (26 years old) was killed early this Tuesday as a result of a shooting incident that targeted his family's home in the town of Iblin in the areas occupied in 1948.

According to information, unknown assailants fired a hail of bullets towards the house while Muhammad was on the second floor, resulting in critical injuries for which he was rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

This crime reopens the wounds of the Qasum family, which has suffered a series of painful tragedies. In 2023, Suhail Qasum, the father of the victim Muhammad, was shot dead, and in 2025, his uncle Salem Qasum was killed in the same manner while heading to work.

Murders continue in the Palestinian community in the areas occupied in 1948, while Arab towns are witnessing daily protests denouncing the spread of violence and protesting the inaction and complicity of the Israeli authorities and police in dealing with organized crime gangs.

As a result of the recent crime, the death toll has risen to 28 since the beginning of this year until today, from 21 Arab cities and towns, including one person killed by police fire, two women, and two boys under the age of eighteen.

The year 2025 recorded an unprecedented death toll from murder crimes, with 252 Arab citizens killed, amid repeated accusations against the Israeli police of inaction and even complicity with organized crime gangs, failing to provide the minimum safety and security for Arab citizens.
