"Wide-Scale Operation" in Northern Gaza Searching for Remains of Last Israeli Hostage
SadaNews - The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reported on Sunday evening that the army is searching for the remains of Ran Givli, the last hostage still in the Gaza Strip, in a cemetery in northern Gaza.
The office stated that "the operation is taking place in a cemetery in northern Gaza and includes intensive search efforts, utilizing all available intelligence information. This effort will continue as long as necessary."
Israeli Channel 12 reported that the Israeli army is currently "conducting a wide-scale operation to find Ran Givli."
It added: "The Israeli army is currently working under the assumption that Givli is buried east of the yellow line," noting that "the extensive operation may take several days."
Hamas revealed that it has "provided intermediaries with all the details and information available to us regarding his whereabouts. What confirms the validity of our statement is that Israel is currently conducting search operations in a specific location."
It insisted: "We have handled the issue of hostages and corpses with complete transparency and have completed all that is required of us based on the ceasefire agreement."
