In Response to His Wife's Allegations of Abuse.. Egyptian Artist Defends Himself
SadaNews - Egyptian artist Mahmoud Higazi did not remain silent for long in the face of accusations from his wife of assaulting her, causing injuries to her face and eye, and leaving bruises on her body.
Higazi responded to these allegations and the official complaint filed against him by his wife, Rania Tarek, through posts on his official Facebook account.
Initially, the artist invoked a Quranic verse from Surah "Yusuf" to emphasize that he does not like to talk about his personal life, nor does he wish to make it public content for the audience, out of respect for his son, Yusuf.
Higazi then accused his wife of fabricating allegations against him with the intention of depriving him of his son, writing: "I swear by God, she is doing all this because she wants to take my son Yusuf and escape outside of Egypt.. and she wants to get any ruling to request me to waive the travel ban on him."
He confirmed that he is "far removed" from what has been circulated about him on social media, pointing out that he has made the decision to remain silent out of respect for his son and his son's mother.
At the end of his post, Higazi said, "I will not discuss details except in the right context, not for defamation, but for clarification only, and enough is enough; we rely on God, and He is the best disposer of affairs.. God is present."
It is worth mentioning that artist Mahmoud Higazi was previously married to Asma, daughter of artist Sherif Mounir, but they separated after conflicts between them.
Mahmoud Higazi has participated in a number of famous series, including "Wenos", "Abu al-‘Arusa", "Kafr Delhab", and "Hajar Jahannam", and he is currently featured in the series "Bayt Baba".
