Public Meeting in Kafr Manda to Confront Violence and Criminal Gangs

SadaNews - The town of Kafr Manda witnessed a public meeting on Saturday evening, called for by the head of the local council Ali Zidan, dedicated to discussing ways to confront the rising wave of violence and the criminal gangs that are threatening the town's security and stability.

Representatives of families, local council members, social activists, and dignitaries from the town participated in the meeting, reflecting an unprecedented sense of consensus and unity, with a clear message that Kafr Manda stands united against crime and refuses to submit to fear or chaos.

In his speech, the head of the local council emphasized that the incidents of gunfire and intimidation being witnessed in the town represent "a blatant violation of all red lines," stressing that the involved parties have "not responded to all previous calls for conscience and a return to the values of religion and the homeland."

He added that attempts to impose "protection money" and gunfire constitute a direct assault on the security, stability, and economy of Kafr Manda, posing a threat to the future of its children, affirming that the town and all its families, along with the local council in all its spectrums, will not accept that its affairs be managed by the logic of force or intimidation.

During the meeting, participants discussed practical mechanisms to enhance popular action and build an effective community safety network aimed at tightening the grip on criminal gangs, closing spaces for lawbreakers, and restoring the prestige and security of the town.

The head of the council had previously called in an earlier statement for this public meeting to be held after the evening prayer, with the participation of local council members, the local follow-up committee, imams of mosques, dignitaries from the town, and all residents, considering that the meeting represents "a real turning point in the course of confronting crime."

The statement indicated that available data will be presented to the residents with transparency and clarity, including revealing the parties and rogue elements involved in these acts, within the framework of collective responsibility and defense of the town's security.

The meeting concluded with a decisive and clear message: "Kafr Manda will not submit, and its security is a red line that cannot be crossed."
