94 Families Forcibly Displaced: Colonizers Force 15 Families in Al-Auja Spring Community to Leave
SadaNews - On Saturday, colonizers forced 15 Palestinian families to leave the Bedouin Al-Auja Spring community north of Jericho, bringing the total number of families forcibly displaced from the community to 94.
The Baidar Human Rights Organization reported that a series of ongoing harassment and assaults by the colonizers have led to the successive departure of the families, following the earlier departure of 20 families of farmers from Yatta and 26 families from the Ka’abneh at the beginning of this month, due to repeated assaults over the past weeks.
It added that the violations included grazing livestock on agricultural lands, destroying fruit trees and crops, and continually provoking the residents, asserting that these actions are part of a systematic policy aimed at pressuring Bedouin communities and enforcing control over their lands.
The Baidar Human Rights Organization emphasized that these events reflect a deliberate targeting of Bedouin communities in the northern Jordan Valley, aiming to create an unlivable environment and impose a forced colonial reality, leading to economic and social crises that threaten the safety of the residents.
It called on the international community, human rights organizations, and media bodies to take urgent action to protect Bedouin communities and prevent the worsening of the displacement crisis and assaults on Palestinian lands and properties.
