Abdul Aati: Completing the Requirements of the Second Phase is a Key Entry Point for Early Recovery and Reconstruction of Gaza
SadaNews - A statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry today (Saturday) indicated that Badr Abdul Aati, the Egyptian Foreign Minister, discussed by phone with Nikolai Mladenov, the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, the requirements of the second phase of President Donald Trump's plan, affirming Cairo's full support for the national committee's mission to manage Gaza in preparation for the return of the Palestinian Authority to assume its responsibilities in the sector.
The Egyptian minister added that completing the implementation of the requirements of the second phase is a fundamental entry point for launching the early recovery path in the Gaza Strip and initiating the reconstruction process.
According to the statement, the two sides discussed the next steps and the implementation of the remaining requirements of President Trump's peace plan's second phase, including the deployment of an international stabilization force, the opening of the Rafah crossing in both directions, and the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, which would contribute to consolidating stability and preparing the conditions for life to return to normal in Gaza.
