President Arrives in Russia for Official Visit
SadaNews - President Mahmoud Abbas arrived this evening, Wednesday, in the Russian capital Moscow for a two-day official visit.
The president is scheduled to meet tomorrow, Thursday, with Russian President Vladimir Putin and will host the Arab ambassadors accredited in Russia.
The two presidents will discuss the latest political developments and the situation in the Palestinian territories, as well as ways to alleviate the suffering of our people, reconstruction, preventing displacement and annexation, halting settlement expansion and settler violence, releasing withheld Palestinian funds, and stopping actions undermining the institutions of the Palestinian National Authority.
During their meeting, the two presidents will discuss ways to develop bilateral relations and the historical ties of friendship between their leaderships and peoples, in addition to several regional and international issues of mutual interest.
