Syria Requires Prior Approval for Entry of Holders of Palestinian Passports into Its Territory
SadaNews - The Palestinian embassy in Syria published a notification on Tuesday regarding the entry of Palestinians into the country.
The embassy explained in its post on its Facebook page, citing a Syrian government source, that the entry of holders of ordinary Palestinian passports and travel documents into Syrian territory now requires prior approval, except for holders of the Syrian travel document, of course.
The embassy added: Approval is granted through the Public Relations Office at the Syrian Ministry of Interior, which can be applied for by a sponsor or a relative.
It emphasized that a Palestinian holding a Syrian travel document is treated as a Syrian citizen regarding entry into the Arab Republic of Syria and is not subject to the prior approval procedure.
It noted that any official instructions or updates will be announced as soon as they are issued.
