The Electoral Commission Opens 423 Field Registration Centers for Voters in the West Bank

SadaNews - The Central Elections Commission announced today, Tuesday, the opening of field registration centers for voters at all locations of local authorities and the offices of the Commission's departments in the West Bank.

The statement clarified that the number of centers reached 423, distributed across 420 local authorities throughout the West Bank, operating daily from 9 AM to 2 PM, including Fridays and Saturdays, to facilitate the registration process and the modification of voters' data.

It indicated that the registration centers in the Commission's offices facilitate the registration procedures for citizens, particularly for special cases such as residents of the Gaza Strip living in the West Bank, holders of the Jerusalem ID, and proxy registrations, including the registration of prisoners by their relatives and changing the polling place and local authority for voters.

The Commission added that the registration offices in the local authorities work on registering new voters, changing polling places, and updating voters' data in the electoral register.

The Commission's statement noted that the electronic and field registration phase will continue from this morning until the evening of Saturday, January 24, 2026, followed by a phase for publishing and objections on the electoral register at local authorities for three days from February 7 to 9, 2026. Then, the candidacy phase for the local elections will begin for seven days starting from February 23 to March 1, 2026.

The Commission emphasized the importance of all citizens adhering to the specified registration dates and taking advantage of the field registration centers to ensure their data is registered accurately, as registration is a fundamental requirement for candidacy and voting.
