Sheikh Discusses Current Developments with Norwegian Officials
SadaNews - On Thursday, the Vice President of the State of Palestine, Hussein Sheikh, met with Ambassador Mona Joul and the Charge d'Affaires of the Kingdom of Norway to Palestine, Erik Birgraff, to discuss the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, particularly the escalatory measures being implemented by the occupying authorities in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, alongside the increasing assaults by settlers.
Sheikh briefed the Norwegian side on the political and field developments and their implications for the humanitarian and security situations, emphasizing the importance of the international community's role in pressuring to stop the Israeli violations and protect the Palestinian people.
During the meeting, Sheikh thanked the Norwegian side for their continued support, valuing their contribution to the Support Unit for Negotiations and the role Norway plays in supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
