According to a statement from the Israeli army, as translated by SadaNews, six armed men were spotted in the area west of Rafah, who approached its forces. After identifying them, tanks arrived at the location they were at and opened fire on the armed men.

It pointed out that there was an exchange of fire in the area, while an aerial attack was launched.

It claimed that two of the armed men were killed while the others are being searched for.

Israeli reporters mentioned that two soldiers were injured with minor injuries.
