Closure of "Karamilo" Checkpoint Exacerbates Suffering of Palestinians Heading to Jericho
SadaNews - The occupation has continued to close the "Karamilo" checkpoint located near the town of Taybeh east of Ramallah since the morning hours, resulting in a severe traffic crisis and hindering the movement of Palestinians.
This checkpoint is a main route to the city of Jericho via the winding roads, adding new suffering for Palestinian travelers who already face significant difficulties at the Allenby Bridge.
This suffering has intensified in recent days with the increasing number of travelers, especially pilgrims, as the Allenby Bridge is experiencing significant congestion amid the limited working hours of the three crossings (Palestinian-Israeli-Jordanian) and the restriction on all travelers from crossing, due to the ongoing Israeli constraints on Palestinians, which exacerbates the hardship of the journey and increases the state of anxiety and fatigue among Palestinians.
