Germany Calls on Israel to Halt E1 Settlement Project: It Will Undermine the Two-State Solution

A spokesperson for the German Foreign Office stated in a government press conference on Friday that "it must be noted that the plans to establish the colonial E1 project are part of a widespread escalation of colonial policy in the West Bank, which we have noticed recently."

He added that the project threatens "to increase unrest because it will intensify restrictions on the movement of Palestinian residents in the West Bank" and will undermine the prospects for a two-state solution."
