Hebrew Channel Reveals: Putin Transmitted Messages from Netanyahu to Iran to Assure It
SadaNews Translation - The Hebrew channel Reshet Kan reported this evening, Monday, that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu enlisted Russian President Vladimir Putin to convey reassuring messages to Iran stating that Israel does not intend to attack it.
The Hebrew channel quoted diplomatic sources, as translated by SadaNews, saying that the messages were recently conveyed to Iran through several means including a phone call that took place between Netanyahu and Putin amid tensions with Iran.
It indicated that Israel still fears miscalculations from Iran that might lead it to attack Israel out of fear of being attacked first.
It noted that the political and security level has recently held discussions on various security issues, among which the Iranian issue was discussed.
Netanyahu had stated in the Knesset that if Iran attacks Israel, the consequences would be severe.
