Exclusive sources to SadaNews: Arrival of Hussein al-Sheikh and Majid Faraj in Cairo to discuss the second phase of the ceasefire
SadaNews - Special sources told SadaNews on Sunday that Palestinian Vice President Hussein al-Sheikh and General Intelligence Chief Majid Faraj arrived at noon in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
This visit is for official discussions and consultations with the Egyptian side regarding several issues related to the Gaza Strip, primarily the transition to the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, which is expected to commence in the coming days.
According to the information received by SadaNews, the role of the Palestinian Authority in this second phase will currently be limited to its presence at the Rafah crossing.
The two sides are also scheduled to discuss the implementation of the second phase and developments in the West Bank.
