Informed sources to SadaNews: "Fatah Revolutionary Council" reinstates 3 members
Exclusive to SadaNews - Informed sources confirmed to "SadaNews" that the Revolutionary Council of Fatah Movement has decided to reinstate each of Fakhr al-Burghouti, Fadwa al-Burghouti, and Jamal Hawil into its membership, after they were expelled from the movement in 2021.
The same sources told "SadaNews" that President Mahmoud Abbas has approved this decision after being recommended by the Revolutionary Council.
They indicated that the three members, -except for Hawil due to his detention in occupation prisons- will participate in the "Revolutionary Council session" scheduled to be held on 8/1/2026, which will last for two days, chaired by President Mahmoud Abbas.
According to the same sources, the session will discuss the latest political and field developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, including issues related to the salaries of the families of martyrs, prisoners, and the wounded, national unity, Trump’s plan regarding Gaza and its future, attacks by settlers, and changing realities in the West Bank, in addition to Palestinian curricula.
The session will also address preparations for holding the eighth conference of Fatah Movement.
It is noteworthy that Fadwa al-Burghouti, Fakhr al-Burghouti, and Jamal Hawil were expelled from Fatah Movement due to their candidacy within a separate list for the legislative elections that were supposed to be held in May 2021.
The Revolutionary Council of the "Fatah" Movement held the works of its twelfth regular session on February 20, 2025, with the attendance of President Mahmoud Abbas and members of the movement's Central Committee.
