Zamir: We Will Not Allow Hamas to Rebuild Itself
Translated by SadaNews - Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir stated on Wednesday evening that his forces achieved unprecedented successes in 2025, primarily in delivering strong blows against Hamas and other fronts.
Zamir noted, as translated by SadaNews, that the goal of his forces is to eliminate any threats as was done on October 7, after all living captives were returned, and efforts will continue to recover the last body.
He said: "2026 will be a decisive year in shaping the security reality of the State of Israel.. We are determined to completely disarm Hamas, and we will not allow Hamas to rebuild its strength and threaten us."
He added: "We are at the yellow line controlling the line of territory under control in the Gaza Strip; this is the new security border.. The yellow line is an enhanced defensive contact line and a quick launch base for attack, and we will work and seize opportunities to weaken Hamas, and our forces must remain alert and ready for developments."
He continued: "In recent months, we have begun to deepen our work on building a multi-year plan and reworking the strategy of the Israeli army.. We will not go back to the period before October 7, and we will continue to take the initiative, attack, and shape a new security reality across all arenas."
