The Occupation Begins to Demolish 25 Buildings Housing About 100 Homes in Noor Shams Camp in Tulkarm

SadaNews - The Israeli occupation forces have begun extensive demolition operations in Noor Shams camp east of Tulkarm, which included 25 buildings housing about 100 homes, leading to the displacement of dozens of Palestinian families and leaving them homeless.

Tulkarm Governor, Major General Dr. Abdullah Kmail, described this step as a collective punishment against Palestinians, affirming that the occupation continues its policy of collective punishment and the systematic destruction of the infrastructure in Palestinian camps.

Just days ago, the Israeli Supreme Court rejected the appeal against the demolition decision, considering the military order to be in effect, although it stipulated that the demolitions should not be carried out before 27-12-2025 to allow for citizens to remove their belongings from their homes.

General Kmail condemned the decision, viewing it as a manifestation of "the arrogance and sadism of the occupation," stressing that these policies represent a gross violation of international humanitarian law and human rights charters. He also called on the international community and human rights and humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene to stop this crime, provide international protection for Palestinians, and hold the occupation accountable for its crimes against unarmed civilians.

The governor pointed out that the demolition operations and the resulting forced displacement and destruction of infrastructure, along with the military decisions against farmers in the areas of Shuweika plains, Deir al-Ghussun, Attil, and Eastern Baqa, come under flimsy security pretexts, emphasizing that the real goal is to suffocate Palestinians and displace them from their land.
