Video:: An Israeli soldier runs over a young man while he was praying near Ramallah

Translation by SadaNews - The Israeli army acknowledged, on Thursday evening, in a statement that the person who appeared in a video running over a Palestinian youth while he was praying in the village of Deir Jarir, near Ramallah, is an Israeli soldier.

According to the Israeli army, as translated by SadaNews, that person is a reserve soldier from its forces and he has been suspended from duty and is under investigation.

It pointed out that this soldier, who was wearing civilian clothes, exceeded his authority by running over the youth, as well as firing his weapon in a nearby village, resulting in injuries to Palestinians.

Based on the findings, the investigation will be referred to the appropriate authorities, noting that the soldier's weapon has been confiscated.

The Israeli army strongly condemned these incidents, seeing them as serious and provoking violence, and demanding that its soldiers act in accordance with its values.
