US: Venezuela Cooperates with Iran and Hezbollah
SadaNews - The United States continues to escalate its stance against Venezuela, as President Donald Trump has again hinted at the possibility of going to war with it, while his Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, accused it of collaborating with Iran and "Hezbollah."
In an interview with NBC News published yesterday, Trump stated that he is keeping the option of war with Venezuela on the table. He added in the phone interview, "I don't rule that out, no."
For his part, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused the "illegitimate regime" in Venezuela of "collaborating with the criminals who threaten our national security." Rubio stated that President Nicolas Maduro's regime "is cooperating with Iran and (Hezbollah) and drug trafficking gangs."
Amidst this escalation, both Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum have proposed to mediate in the crisis between Washington and Caracas.
