Iran Launches Missiles During Naval Exercises Near Hormuz Strait
SadaNews - The official Iranian television reported that Iran launched massive missiles in the Sea of Oman and near the strategic Hormuz Strait during the second day of naval maneuvers.
The report added that the paramilitary "Revolutionary Guard" launched the missiles from deep within the Iranian mainland, hitting targets in the Sea of Oman and a nearby area close to the Hormuz Strait in exercises that began on Thursday, according to the Associated Press.
The missiles were identified as cruise missiles, specifically the Qadr 110 and Qadr 380 models, as well as Ghadir, with a range of up to 2,000 kilometers. It was also mentioned that the "Revolutionary Guard" launched a ballistic missile, the 303, without providing further details.
Television footage showed the launch of the missiles and their impact on targets.
The maneuvers are the second following the war between Israel and Iran in June, which resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,100 people in Iran, including military leaders and nuclear scientists. Iranian missile attacks resulted in the deaths of 28 people in Israel.
