Incursion into Qalqilya and Curfew in Kafr Saba Neighborhood, House Converted into Military Barracks (Video)
SadaNews: Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Qalqilya early Thursday morning from the eastern entrance, accompanied by heavy military reinforcements that spread throughout several neighborhoods of the city.
The Palestinian Red Crescent stated: "One of the volunteer paramedics was assaulted while on his way to work in Qalqilya, amidst the ongoing incursion into the city. Reports of assaults in the Kafr Saba neighborhood were also received, while the occupation forces continued to prevent medical teams from reaching the targeted sites, and efforts are underway to coordinate their access."
Local sources reported that with the beginning of the incursion at 1:30 AM, the occupation forces spread throughout different neighborhoods of the city, including: Kafr Saba neighborhood, Nazzal neighborhood, Al-Qar'an neighborhood, Ghayatha neighborhood, Wadi Street, Nablus Street, in addition to the Internal Roundabout and the area around the old Marine Taxi Office, and the Abu Anan ascent.
By morning hours, the forces withdrew from most of these neighborhoods but maintained a heavy presence specifically in the Kafr Saba neighborhood, starting to close its entrances with earth mounds and preventing movement in and out of the area.
The occupation forces also carried out a campaign of raids in that neighborhood on several citizens' homes, including the home of the family of martyr Mohammed Barahmeh, Mazen Yasin, and the home of detained Rami Duaeri, and Musa Qatawi. Furthermore, occupation soldiers raided a commercial shop and harassed citizens inside the neighborhood, searching their vehicles.
The occupation forces converted one of the houses in the Kafr Saba neighborhood into a field interrogation center, where they detained a number of young detainees and continued to interrogate them inside the house, while their identities remain unknown.
According to eyewitnesses, the occupation army informed citizens of the imposition of a curfew on the Kafr Saba neighborhood today, demanding that residents stay in their homes and not leave during the period of closure.
Accordingly, the administration of the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) schools in Qalqilya announced a delay in the school hours until the withdrawal of the occupation forces from the city, in order to ensure the safety of students and the teaching and working staff.
