4 Martyrs, 66 Arrests, and 27 Demolition and Land Leveling Operations in Jerusalem During the Month
SadaNews - The Jerusalem Governorate monitored the violations of the Israeli occupation in the governorate during the month of November 2025, which were concentrated in arrests, actual imprisonment decisions, demolition operations, and eviction, deportation, and house arrest decisions.
The Martyrs
The occupied Jerusalem Governorate witnessed an escalation in the pace of violations perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces during November 2025, manifested in the continuation of the field execution policy against the Palestinian people, amidst a series of increasing aggressions that included military raids and organized pursuits of workers. In this context, four martyrs rose in the governorate, including the two children Muhammad Abdullah Ateam and Muhammad Rashad Fadl Qasim (both aged 16), who were martyred by the bullets of the occupation in the town of Al-Jdeira north of Jerusalem, where Israeli forces deliberately withheld their bodies, adding them to the list of martyrs from Jerusalem whose bodies are withheld by the occupation authorities.
Additionally, the young man Amr Khalid Al-Murab' (18 years old) and the child Sami Mashayekh (16 years old) were martyred during the occupation forces’ incursion into the town of Kafr Aqab north of the city, where soldiers fired live ammunition heavily towards homes and residents, leading to their martyrdom. Their bodies were buried the next day amidst a state of mass public anger, expressing rejection of the ongoing crimes committed by the occupation against Palestinians.
Martyrs Whose Bodies Are Held
With the withholding of the bodies of the two martyr children Muhammad Abdullah Ateam and Muhammad Rashad Fadl Qasim, the number of Jerusalemite martyrs whose bodies the occupation authorities still hold in morgues and numbered graves rose to 51, the oldest being the martyr Jaser Shatat, whose body has been held since 1968.
Settler Attacks
During November 2025, the Jerusalem Governorate witnessed a systematic escalation in settler attacks, as the governorate documented (60) attacks, including (13) cases of physical assault.
These violations varied between repeated incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, expanded attacks targeting Bedouin communities, and deliberate arson of properties, in addition to assaults against merchants and farmers throughout the city, within a systematic policy aimed at tightening the noose on Palestinian presence and strengthening settler control.
Injuries
The Jerusalem Governorate recorded a total of (35) injuries during the same month, ranging from injuries due to live bullets and rubber-coated metal bullets, cases of physical assault, fainting, and injuries resulting from falls while attempting to cross the apartheid wall.
Crimes and Violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque
The blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed a serious and systematic escalation of Israeli violations during November 2025, amid ongoing attempts to impose a new Judaisation reality within the Holy Al-Aqsa compound. The Jerusalem Governorate documented the incursion of (4,266) settlers into the mosque’s courtyards, along with the entry of (15,220) other individuals under the pretext of “tourism,” within plans aimed at solidifying the occupation’s sovereignty over the mosque and its surroundings.
These incursions were characterized by increasingly ritualistic and provocative features, represented in the performance of public Talmudic rituals, organizing systematic tours for student groups, in addition to direct assaults on guards, worshippers, and surrounding cemeteries.
The month also witnessed bolder Judaisation attempts, manifested in the introduction of animal sacrifices inside the mosque, and efforts to impose a Jewish religious character in the eastern area and Bab al-Rahma.
Arrests
The Jerusalem Governorate monitored a dangerous escalation in the policy of repression and arrest pursued by the Israeli occupation authorities against Jerusalemites during November, where (66) cases of arrest were documented, including (8) children and two women, indicating a clear continuation of the systematic approach toward targeting the city’s residents, particularly the most vulnerable and fragile groups.
Occupation Court Decisions Against Detainees
Israeli occupation courts continue to issue arbitrary sentences against Palestinian detainees, including prison sentences of varying lengths, imposing forced house arrest, along with decisions to deport individuals from their places of residence or worship, and imposing exorbitant financial fines that burden Jerusalemite families.
These courts also continue to extend administrative detention for a number of prisoners without presenting clear charges, in some cases for periods extending to years, in gross violation of the principles of justice and guarantees of fair trial.
Actual Imprisonment
The Jerusalem Governorate documented during the same month a clear continuation of the repressive punitive policies pursued by the occupation authorities against Jerusalemite prisoners, where (28) judgments and decisions were documented, distributed between (10) actual imprisonment sentences and (18) administrative detention orders.
These decisions reflect a systematic escalation in using the Israeli judiciary as a tool to tighten control over the Jerusalemite community through repeated extensions of detentions without charges, imposing long sentences and high financial fines that reached in some cases up to 6000 shekels.
House Arrest
The Jerusalem Governorate monitored the issuance of (7) house arrest decisions during this month, varying in duration and affecting individuals from different areas, including teenagers and children, reflecting the occupation's continued targeting of the weaker groups within its repressive tools.
Deportation Decisions
(8) deportation decisions were documented, including (6) decisions to deport from the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which reflects the continued targeting of mosque guards, its visitors, and active Jerusalemites in a systematic manner by the occupation.
Demolition and Land Leveling Operations
The Jerusalem Governorate also monitored a new and dangerous escalation in the demolition and leveling policy that the Israeli occupation authorities continue to implement against Palestinians in the city during November 2025, where (27) demolition and leveling operations were documented, including (5) self-demolition operations in which citizens were forced to demolish their homes and facilities with their own hands under the threat of exorbitant fines, in addition to (21) demolition operations carried out by the occupation municipality's machinery and forces, along with one leveling operation that affected a Jerusalemite land.
This increase reflects the continuity of the colonial approach aimed at uprooting Palestinian presence and re-engineering the demographic scene in Jerusalem in favor of the Judaisation project.
Demolition, Forced Eviction Decisions and Land Seizure
The Jerusalem Governorate recorded (45) notifications, which included (43) demolition orders and one eviction notice, in addition to the seizure of 77,608 dunams of land from eastern 'Issawiya.
The notifications were concentrated in Beit Jala, the Old City, Wadi al-Homs, 'Issawiya, and al-Zaim, indicating the continued occupation's encroachment upon what remains of Jerusalemite neighborhoods and reshaping the surroundings of the Old City and areas of contact.
Crimes and Violations Against Religious Institutions and Landmarks
The occupied Jerusalem Governorate witnessed during November 2025 a systematic escalation of Israeli attacks targeting religious, cultural, media, and social institutions, in addition to pursuing national and religious leaderships, within a policy aimed at tightening control over the civil and spiritual scene in the city and undermining its Palestinian presence.
These attacks varied between incursions, arrests, imposing restrictions on community activities, and targeting cultural, educational, and youth centers, reflecting the continued occupation's tightening of Palestinian life in Jerusalem comprehensively.
Targeting Jerusalemite National Figures
During November 2025, the Jerusalem Governorate witnessed a continuation of the occupation's systematic policy targeting religious figures, in an attempt to impose further restrictions on the free Jerusalemite discourse and reduce its presence and impact in the Jerusalem arena.
On November 16, the occupation authorities announced the trial date of the mosque’s preacher, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, for November 18 before the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court, under the pretext of "incitement." After the session was held, the court postponed consideration of the case to January 6, 2026, within a legal pursuit based on fabricated charges.
Colonial Projects
The governorate monitored a clear continuation of Israeli colonial policies aimed at strengthening control over the city of Jerusalem and its suburbs, through expanding settlement, seizing lands, and changing the geographical and demographic character of the city. According to daily follow-ups of announcements issued by what is called the "Civil Administration" and the occupation municipality in Jerusalem, in addition to data documented by the Beit Al-Sharq Center for Arabic Studies, (13) new colonial plans were monitored during the month.
These plans included two deposited plans involving the construction of (687) colonial units over an estimated area of (34) dunams, in addition to another plan that was officially approved for constructing bridges over a public open area to facilitate access to a Jewish synagogue.
The same month also witnessed the establishment of (3) new colonial outposts in the outskirts of Jerusalem, and another outpost in the town of Sur Baher, in addition to the opening of settlement hotel units in Silwan.
In this regard, the occupation authorities published two new tenders to build (356) colonial units, which include the establishment of (14) separate houses designated for occupation soldiers on the lands of the town of Jbaa north of Jerusalem.
