The occupation closes all entrances to northern Ramallah and storms Beit Rima

SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces closed all entrances to northern Ramallah this morning, following the shooting of a young man near the Atarot settlement north of Ramallah, claiming he had carried out a stabbing operation that resulted in the injury of two Israeli soldiers.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces closed the Atara and Ein Siniya checkpoints north of Ramallah, the Rawabi roundabout, the Nabi Saleh gate, the entrance to the village of Umm Safa, the Singel gate, the iron gate set up at the main entrance to the town of Turmus Ayya, and the junction of Ayoun al-Haramiyya connecting the cities of Nablus and Ramallah.

The same sources added that these forces intensified their military measures and presence around the city, its villages, and towns located to the north, northwest, and east of Ramallah.

Israeli occupation forces also stormed the town of Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah, this morning, Tuesday.

Local sources reported that a large force from the occupation army stormed the town after besieging its entrances and tightening military measures in its vicinity.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces closed the entrance to the village of Al-Luban Al-Sharqiya south of Nablus this morning, Tuesday.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces closed the iron gate set up at the entrance to the village, preventing entry and exit, and intensified their military presence on the road connecting the cities of Nablus and Ramallah.

According to a report issued by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission last October, the total number of permanent and temporary checkpoints (gates, military or dirt barriers) that divide Palestinian territories and impose restrictions on the movement of individuals and goods has reached a total of 916, including 243 iron gates set up after October 7, 2023.
