Sheikh Discusses Political and International Developments with Representatives of European Countries E4
SadaNews - The Deputy President of the State of Palestine, Mr. Hussein Sheikh, held a meeting with representatives from E4 countries to discuss the political obligations arising from the upcoming phase.
Participants in the meeting included the British Consul General, Ms. Helen Winterton, the French Consul General, Mr. Nicolas Cassianidis, the Italian Consul General, Mr. Domenico Bilato, and from the German side, the Chargé d'Affaires, Ms. Ulrike Borman, along with the honorable Mr. Nabil Abu Rdeineh, a member of the Fatah Central Committee, the honorable adviser Dr. Majdi Khalidi, and Ms. Ayeh Al-Mohaysin.
During the meeting, Sheikh emphasized a number of political issues, welcoming President Trump's plan and the Security Council's decision, stressing the necessity of compelling Israel to halt its military operations in the Gaza Strip. He also underscored the urgent need to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip with the onset of winter, the return of all withheld funds, halting settler terrorism, lifting barriers that cut across the West Bank, and stopping the continuous incursions into the governorates of the West Bank. Additionally, he emphasized the necessity of confirming the geographical connection between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank as an essential element of any just political solution that ensures the continuity and unity of Palestinian territories.
