The Presidency Condemns Settlers' Assault on Foreign Activists in Jericho

SadaNews - The Palestinian presidency condemned the terrorist attacks perpetrated by settlers yesterday, Sunday, against four foreign activists in the Ein al-Dyouk gathering in Jericho. They assaulted them physically, resulting in injuries to three Italian activists and one Canadian, and stole belongings from the house, including passports and mobile phones belonging to the activists.

The presidency warned of the dangers of these terrorist acts that violate international law, holding the Israeli government fully responsible for the grave repercussions of these terrorist operations conducted by settlers against both citizens and activists alike.

The presidency emphasized that the attempts by the occupation authorities and their various means, including settler terrorism, aimed at displacing the Palestinian people from their land through terrorism, murder, uprooting trees, and burning crops must not go unchecked, as they not only represent a blatant violation of international law but also pose a threat to the values of justice upon which the foundations of the international system and other norms and fundamental rights are based.

The presidency renewed its call for the international community to hold these criminal murderers accountable and impose sanctions on them and on the occupation authorities that provide them with support and protection, and to provide protection for the Palestinian people, leading to an end to the occupation and the establishment of the Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem, along the borders of 1967.
