Assault on Two Women and Arrest of Two Brothers During Raid in Kafr Qaddum East of Qalqilya
SadaNews - Two women were injured this afternoon, Monday, due to an assault by occupation soldiers in the village of Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilya. Additionally, two brothers were arrested during the same raid.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces raided the home of the Jumaa family in the northern part of the village and physically assaulted Mrs. Fadwa Jumaa and her daughter-in-law Sirin Jumaa, before proceeding to arrest the brothers Qusay Jumaa and Rafat Jumaa. The assault resulted in bruises and varying injuries to the two women, who were transferred to the hospital for treatment, with their conditions described as moderate.
The raid on the home coincided with incursions by groups of settlers into the northern area of the village, under the protection of occupation soldiers. The sources clarified that dozens of settlers were near the agricultural lands of the citizens, while military vehicles and army jeeps were deployed around the area, causing anxiety among the residents for fear of being subjected to assaults or being prevented from reaching their lands.
During the incursions, several nearby homes, including the Jumaa family home, were also raided before the occupation forces withdrew from the area.
