Official News Agency: Palestine Welcomes the U.S. Statement to Establish a Ceasefire in Gaza
SadaNews - The State of Palestine welcomed the statement issued on November 14 by the United States, Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Jordan, and Turkey, regarding the Security Council draft resolution and the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza, which was announced on September 29 and confirmed in the Sharm El-Sheikh meeting.
The State of Palestine emphasized today, Friday, the importance of this endeavor to establish a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire, expedite the entry and delivery of humanitarian aid without obstacles, the complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and an immediate transition towards reconstruction, ensuring the return to normal life, protecting our people in the sector, preventing displacement, stopping the undermining of the two-state solution, and preventing annexation.
The State of Palestine welcomed the content of this statement, which affirms the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, the establishment of their independent Palestinian state, and the achievement of peace, security, and stability between Palestinians and Israelis, asserting that this should be in accordance with international law and international legitimacy.
The State of Palestine reiterated its readiness to assume full responsibilities in the Gaza Strip, as part of the unity of land, people, and institutions, considering the sector an integral part of the State of Palestine.
