Houthis: Arrest of a Spy Network Linked to Israel and America in Sanaa

SadaNews - The Houthis announced yesterday, Saturday, the arrest of a spy network operating on behalf of the United States and Israel; according to their Ministry of Interior following the assassination of their Prime Minister Ahmad Ghaleb al-Rahawi along with the Chief of Staff and several ministers due to an Israeli attack on the capital Sanaa.

The Houthi Ministry of Interior stated that it was able to "arrest a spy network that follows a joint operations room between the American intelligence, the Israeli Mossad, and the Saudi intelligence".

It added that "this significant security achievement was made after operations of investigation, observation, and monitoring that uncovered the enemy's plans and the methods of operation of the treacherous elements".

The Houthi Ministry of Interior indicated that "the spying cells gathered information and monitored the civilian leadership of the state (Houthi government), the military and security leaders, and their headquarters and activities".

It continued, "These cells monitored the Yemeni infrastructure and attempted to reveal the military and security structure, military manufacturing sites, and missile and drone launch areas".

It also clarified that "the network was involved in shedding the blood of Yemenis in several operations carried out by the American and Israeli enemy against homes, markets, and public places", pointing out that "this occurred amidst an escalation of aggression against Yemen in an attempt to stop support for Gaza".

The Houthis had previously announced the dismantling of similar networks, the latest in May 2024, by revealing a network of "spies" in Yemen working for the United States and Israel.

Over the past two years, the Houthis had attacked Israel with ballistic missiles and drones, and targeted ships belonging to Tel Aviv or heading towards it, especially in the Red Sea, in what they called "support for Gaza"; in return, Israel launched numerous attacks targeting various areas in Yemen, including the capital Sanaa.
