Al-Qassam: No Surrender in Rafah, We Hold the Occupation Responsible for the Escalation
SadaNews - The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, issued an official statement on Sunday morning, in which they confirmed their absolute rejection of the principle of surrender, holding the Israeli occupation fully responsible for what is happening in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
The statement mentioned that Al-Qassam members present in Rafah "are defending themselves in an area under the occupation's control", emphasizing that "there is no principle of surrender or submitting to the enemy in the vocabulary of the Al-Qassam Brigades".
The brigades called on international mediators to take responsibility for stabilizing the ceasefire, warning that the occupation "uses flimsy pretexts to breach the agreement and target innocents and civilians in Gaza".
The statement also addressed the process of retrieving the bodies of Israeli prisoners, explaining that it took place under "complex and extremely difficult conditions", and despite this, Al-Qassam adhered to its obligations under the agreement, but confirmed that "retrieving the remaining bodies requires additional technical teams and equipment".
