SadaNews - The American "Federal Bureau of Investigation" (FBI) revealed on Thursday that an active-duty U.S. Marine soldier has been arrested for the kidnapping of a 12-year-old girl from Indiana with the intent to sexually assault her.
The bureau stated in a release that William Richard Roy (24 years old), stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, flew to Chicago last week, met the girl in a park, and then took her to a hotel for an overnight stay before boarding a bus to Durham, North Carolina.
According to the statement, the girl's grandmother first reported her missing on Friday.
The bureau said they arrested Roy upon his arrival in Durham on Sunday, and the "girl was safely recovered."
Roy faces three charges, including enticing and transporting a minor across state lines for the purpose of committing an unlawful sexual act.
