Israel set to approve 1,973 new settlement units

This is another step in increasing the momentum for settlement construction and development led by Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich to enhance and expand settlements. According to Channel 14 Hebrew, as translated by SadaNews.

Among the settlements where new housing units will be added are: Avnei Heftz, Einav, both near Tulkarm, Ganei Modiin on the demarcation line near Ramallah, Rosh Tzurim near Bethlehem, and Eitz Ephraim near Salfit.

Finance Minister, and Minister of Settlement in the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Bezalel Smotrich, commented by saying: "The construction boom continues. Since the beginning of the year, approval has been granted for the construction of nearly 30,000 new housing units in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) and the Jordan Valley."

He added: "We will continue to build and establish throughout the Land of Israel. This is the Zionist, moral, and right response to those who seek to challenge our right to our land."
