Smotrich Attacks Saudi Arabia Again and Promises Not to Allow Reconstruction of the Sector Before Disarming Hamas
SadaNews Translation - Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, this evening, Monday, attacked Saudi Arabia after its support for the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Smotrich said in a press conference, in response to a question about his previous statements regarding Saudi Arabia, "We have managed for 77 years without them, and we will manage for another 77 years without them... They are leading a unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state, which is not good; it is horrific. SadaNews has translated these remarks."
Regarding the war on Gaza, Smotrich stated that the war is not over yet, although there are attempts to achieve stability.
He said: "From our perspective, the true test is in the implementation... The State of Israel will not allow the reconstruction of Gaza as long as Hamas is not fully disarmed militarily, politically, and administratively."
He added, "We will not allow the establishment of a new terrorist entity under the guise of humanitarian reconstruction."
He continued: "Real disarmament is a prerequisite for reconstruction, and any attempt to bypass this is firmly rejected."
