Israeli Estimates: Hamas Will Hand Over Two Corpses to the Red Cross This Evening
SadaNews - Channel 14 reported this Saturday evening that the Israeli security apparatus received information indicating the possibility of the return of the bodies of two prisoners in the upcoming hours from the Gaza Strip.
A senior Israeli official stated that "there has been progress in the negotiations, which may allow for the recovery of the bodies of those held from Gaza soon."
It is noteworthy that if the bodies of the two Israeli prisoners are handed over, there will still be 11 corpses remaining in the Gaza Strip.
The Hebrew Broadcasting Authority stated that Washington is preventing Tel Aviv from taking punitive measures in response to the halt in the return of the bodies of the remaining prisoners from Gaza, anticipating that the Hamas movement will release a new batch of remains today, Saturday.
This comes at a time when Hamas has delivered the bodies of 16 prisoners from the beginning of the prisoner exchange deal and the ceasefire agreement on October 10, among 28, most of whom are Israelis.
Hamas has confirmed on several occasions that it seeks to "close the file" and needs time, advanced equipment, and heavy machinery to retrieve the remaining corpses.
