Discover the Artistic Families that Gave Birth to the Most Famous Screen Stars

SadaNews - Many art stars belong to artistic families known to the public, inheriting talent to continue the path laid by their predecessors. However, there are also other stars who belong to lesser-known artistic families, as they have outshone their relatives and achieved wider fame than their kin.

Perhaps one of the most famous stars who comes from an artistic family that the public doesn't know much about is actress Esaad Younes, who is the daughter of singer Kowkab Sadik, who rose to fame in the 1940s. Her father worked as the artistic director of Fawzy Monib's band, where Kowkab attended the Institute of Arabic Music and studied alongside artist Abdel Halim Hafez, but her fame did not extend to the generations that followed her.

Esad Younes and an Artistic Family

Esad Younes also has another sister in the art field, singer Iman Younes, who began her artistic career as a singer and studied at the Conservatory Institute, specializing in playing the clarinet. However, she later turned to academic work after being appointed as a lecturer at the Higher Institute of Arabic Music, and she continues to teach at the Academy of Arts to this day.

Similarly, the artist Soheer Ramzi is the daughter of the artist Duriah Ahmed, who was professional in acting and singing and participated in several famous cinematic works, including the film "Blood is Indulgent," in which she sang the song "Enough, my heart, enough," as well as the film "Dalloni Ya Nas" with the late artist Shukri Sarhan, where she sang three songs: "Aref wal Aref La Ya'ref," "Al-Baby Al-Baby," and "Dalloni Ya Nas Dalloni."

The Parents of Samah Anwar

The artist Samah Anwar also belongs to a prominent artistic family, as her father is the famous screenwriter Anwar Abdullah, who was born in 1919 and became known for his writing and authoring. Among his works are the films "Halat Talbis," "Return of the Most Dangerous Man in the World," and the series "Al-Hisab" and "Al-Muhakama," among other well-known works. Her mother is the late artist Suad Hussein, who worked in several theatrical troupes, including the groups of Ali Al-Kassar and Najib Al-Rihani, and also participated in numerous films and series, most notably "Diaries of Wens" and "Rifa'a Al-Tahtawi," and "The General Prosecutor's Report," as well as the film "Riya and Sakina."

Maali Zayed... and a Large Artistic Family

As for the artist Maali Zayed, she also hails from a large artistic family, with her mother being actress Amal Zayed and her aunt being actress Jamalat Zayed. Maali inherited her talent and love for art from her family, starting her career through the series "The Promised Night" in 1978, continuing the legacy of her mother and aunt while achieving even greater fame.

The late actor Hussein Riyad also had a brother in the art field, who did not achieve the same fame, namely artist Mohamed Fouad Shafik, known as Fouad Shafik. He was an Egyptian actor born in the Sayyida Zeinab district of Cairo, and he worked as an actor in many theatrical troupes. However, not many knew that he was the younger brother of artist Hussein Riyad. Due to the difference in their names, as Hussein entered the acting field first despite family opposition, he had to change his name to Hussein Riyad instead of Hussein Shafik, while his brother later entered the same field without changing his name.

The famous artist Abdulwahab Aser also has artistic roots in his family, as he is the son of cinematographer Ahmed Aser, and his brother is actor Hussein Aser, who is nine years younger than him and has participated in famous cinematic works, including the films "Salama Fi Khayr," "Dua Al-Korwan," and "Hassan wa Naeema," among others.
