A Delegation from Hamas Leadership, Heads by Khalil al-Hayya, Follows up in Cairo on Ceasefire Agreement Implementation in Gaza

SadaNews - A delegation from the leadership of Hamas arrived today, Sunday, in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to follow up on the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip with mediators and Palestinian factions.

This comes according to a statement from Hamas, in which it stated that "a delegation from the leadership of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, headed by Dr. Khalil al-Hayya (the head of Hamas in the Gaza Strip), arrived in the Egyptian capital today, Sunday, October 19, 2025."

The statement added that the delegation arrived in Cairo "to follow up on the implementation of the ceasefire agreement with mediators, Palestinian factions, and forces."

This comes as dozens of civilians in the Gaza Strip were martyred and injured today, Sunday, due to dozens of airstrikes that targeted more than "100 targets," while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the cessation of aid to the sector, "until further notice."

The Israeli army launched dozens of airstrikes on various locations in Gaza, including more than 20 Israeli strikes on the eastern areas of Khan Yunis in the southern sector, where the occupation army announced the start of a wave of strikes on targets allegedly associated with Hamas.

Among the sites targeted by the occupation army was the "Al-Sardi" school, which accommodates displaced persons in Al-Nuseirat camp, resulting in martyrs and injuries, including children and women.

Hamas held "the occupation fully responsible for any deterioration or collapse of the agreement, and we call on mediators to intervene to stop its aggression," indicating that "the occupation violated the agreement from the first day and committed many crimes and serious violations against civilians."

It affirmed its commitment to "implementing the agreement accurately, and no evidence has been provided by the mediators or guarantors of any violation or obstruction on our part."
