Palestinian Presidency Condemns Extrajudicial Executions Carried Out by Hamas in Gaza
SadaNews - The Palestinian Presidency strongly condemned today, Tuesday, the extrajudicial executions carried out by Hamas in recent days, which targeted dozens of citizens in the Gaza Strip, outside the scope of the law and without any fair trials.
The Presidency described these crimes as heinous and unacceptable under any justification.
It emphasized that what occurred represents a crime and a blatant violation of human rights, posing a serious threat to the principle of the rule of law, reflecting the movement's insistence on enforcing its authority through force and terrorism, at a time when our people in Gaza are suffering the consequences of war, destruction, and siege.
The Presidency affirms that the law is the sole reference, and any practices of this kind harm the unity of the Palestinian people and its social fabric, completely contradicting national and moral values and the ongoing efforts to unite the Palestinian state institutions under one authority, one law, and one weapon.
The Presidency called for an immediate halt to these violations, to protect unarmed citizens, and to ensure accountability for anyone involved in these crimes within the framework of Palestinian law and legitimate judiciary.
It also stressed that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the State of Palestine, and restoring the rule of law and legitimate institutions there is the only way to end the state of chaos, and rebuild national trust based on justice, accountability, and respect for the dignity of the Palestinian person.
The Presidency holds Hamas fully responsible for these crimes that harm the supreme interests of our people, in terms of the attempt to entrench Hamas's rule over the Gaza Strip, which provides pretexts for the occupation and will result in hindering reconstruction, entrenching division, and preventing the establishment of a free and independent State of Palestine.
