30 Militants Killed After Attack That Claimed the Lives of 11 Pakistani Soldiers
SadaNews - The Pakistani army stated in a statement today (Friday) that security forces killed 30 militants involved in the ambush targeting a military convoy near the Afghan border on October 7.
The ambush resulted in the deaths of 11 soldiers from the Pakistani army, including two officers and nine soldiers, while 19 militants from the terrorist elements were killed in the "Orakzai" region of northwestern Pakistan.
A statement issued by the media wing of the Pakistani army clarified on Wednesday that "terrorist elements set an ambush for a military convoy and opened fire, resulting in the death of an officer with the rank of Colonel, another officer with the rank of Major, in addition to nine soldiers."
