Hamas Announces Reaching a Comprehensive Agreement to End the War in Gaza
SadaNews - Hamas has announced that it has reached an agreement to end the war on the Gaza Strip, which includes the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the entire sector, the entry of humanitarian aid, and the implementation of a prisoner exchange process between Israel and resistance factions.
In an official statement, the movement described the negotiations as having been conducted "responsibly and seriously," confirming that its delegation and Palestinian resistance factions participated in the talks initiated by U.S. President Donald Trump in Sharm El Sheikh, with the aim of ending the "genocidal war" against the Palestinian people.
Hamas expressed its high appreciation for the "efforts of the brother mediators in Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey," and praised "the efforts made by U.S. President Donald Trump to permanently stop the war and to withdraw the Israeli occupation completely from the Gaza Strip".
In its statement, the movement called on President Trump and the guarantor countries of the agreement to compel the occupation government to implement all provisions of the agreement and not to allow it to evade or delay the implementation of the understandings reached, while urging Arab, Islamic, and international parties to support this pathway.
The statement addressed a salute to the Palestinian people in Gaza, Jerusalem, the West Bank, and both inside and outside the homeland, praising "their heroism and steadfastness in facing the fascist occupation projects and their adherence to their national rights," confirming that "these sacrifices have thwarted the occupation's plans aimed at subjugation and displacement."
The movement affirmed that "the sacrifices of our people will not go in vain, and we will remain faithful to our covenant and will not abandon our national rights until achieving freedom, independence, and self-determination."
This announcement came after U.S. President Donald Trump declared that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of his peace plan, indicating that "this agreement means the release of all hostages very soon, and Israel will withdraw its forces to agreed lines as a start towards a strong and lasting peace."
Trump posted on Truth Social that all parties will be treated "fairly," and he considered this announcement a "great day for the Arab and Islamic world, for Israel, and for the United States," thanking the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey.
