Injuries, One Seriously, in Settler Attack on Attara Town North of Ramallah

SadaNews - Two citizens were injured by live ammunition, and others due to being assaulted, this Wednesday evening, in a settler attack on the town of Attara, northwest of Ramallah.

Local sources reported that two citizens were injured by live ammunition, one of whom (50 years old) was shot in the hip, and both were transferred to the hospital.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that a severe head injury and a moderate abdominal injury were caused by settler gunfire, leading to their arrival at the advisory hospital.

For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated that its crews dealt with the injury of a citizen who was assaulted by settlers in the town of Attara and transported him to the hospital.

Sources mentioned that settlers invaded the outskirts of the town and attacked a house, shattering the windows and some of its contents, and assaulted a female citizen while she was inside the house with her child.

According to the sources, unarmed citizens attempted to confront the settlers' attack, who responded by firing at them, coinciding with the incursion of Israeli occupation forces into the town and their firing of live ammunition, resulting in injuries to citizens.

Since October 7, 2023, settlers have carried out 7,154 attacks against citizens and their properties, resulting in the martyrdom of 33 citizens and the displacement of 33 Palestinian Bedouin communities consisting of 455 families and comprising 2,853 individuals from their homes to other locations, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
