Two Dead and 5 Injured in Shooting in the French City of Nice
SadaNews - Officials stated today (Saturday) that two people were shot dead and five others were injured, some in critical condition, in the coastal city of Nice, southern France, while the search for the perpetrators continues.
The authorities mentioned that an investigation is underway into the suspicion of an organized gang committing murder.
The mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, indicated that the shooting, which occurred late last night (Friday), is linked to drug crimes and that automatic weapons were used.
He called for a permanent increase in police presence in the affected neighborhood.
French media reported that the suspects are still at large and the search for them is ongoing.
