Turkey Announces Arrest of Spy for Israeli Mossad
SadaNews - The Turkish authorities announced on Friday morning the arrest of a person named "Serkan Cicek", on charges of espionage and working for the Israeli intelligence agency (Mossad).
The arrest was the result of a coordinated and joint security operation between the Turkish intelligence agency (MIT) and the Istanbul Security Directorate, under the direct supervision of the public prosecutor's office.
Turkish media reported that the capture of "Cicek" came after a period of careful monitoring and follow-up by the Turkish intelligence agency, which tracked his suspicious activities that proved his connection and work for the Mossad.
This operation is considered a new link in a series of operations carried out by Turkish security agencies to combat foreign espionage activities on its territory, as several networks accused of being linked to Israeli occupation have been dismantled in the past two years.
