Official Agency: Abbas Zaki's Statements are Rejected and Do Not Represent Anyone
SadaNews - The official agency Wafa reported that "the statements issued in the name of the Palestinian presidency and the stance of the Fatah movement, which welcomed efforts to stop the war on the Gaza Strip, are the official stance of the State of Palestine."
It added: "Abbas Zaki's statements are rejected and do not represent anyone, nor do they reflect the official Palestinian position."
Statements were attributed to Abbas Zaki, a member of the Fatah Central Committee, in which he stated that "Trump's plan regarding the Gaza Strip is a document of surrender."
He added: "The plan is imposed on the Palestinian people without them being a party in its formulation or agreeing to it."
Zaki stated that what is being proposed in international forums is merely a conditional acceptance that entrench humiliation instead of recognizing the rights of the Palestinians to self-determination.
He added that the items included in the plan are formulated in a way that keeps Gaza hostage to foreign management and experiments that do not reflect the will of its people.
The Fatah leader indicated that the acceptance of the plan by some Arab and Islamic parties represents a deliberate cover for a scheme aimed at reshaping the Palestinian reality to serve the occupation, considering it a direct involvement in efforts to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
