Ukraine Receives Patriot System from Israel and Deploys it on Its Territory
SadaNews - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced today, Saturday, that his country has received the Patriot system from Israel, which has indeed been deployed.
Zelensky clarified that Ukraine will receive two more systems this fall.
He added that officials from his government will visit the United States at the end of September or early October to discuss matters regarding the economy and weapons.
Zelensky visited the United States last week, where he participated in the United Nations General Assembly and met with U.S. President Donald Trump.
He stated that he informed Trump of "a specific vision of what can be done" in response to Russia's actions, warning that there would be a response if Moscow caused a power outage in Ukraine.
In the same context, Zelensky said that his forces shot down 92 drones that were heading towards Poland.
Western reports indicate that Russian drones have been flying over several European countries, leading to the closure of some airports and escalating tensions between Moscow and NATO.
Moscow has denied involvement in those incidents and rejected accusations from the governments of Poland, Estonia, and Romania regarding the flying of drones or violations of airspace by fighter jets of those countries.
