Hezbollah on the Anniversary of Nasrallah's Martyrdom: We Will Not Abandon Our Weapons
SadaNews - While thousands of Hezbollah supporters gathered in Beirut near the grave of its former Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah today, Saturday, to commemorate the first anniversary of his assassination, the Secretary-General of the party, Naeem Qassem, reaffirmed that the group "will not abandon its weapons."
He also added that disarming Hezbollah means disarming Lebanon's strength, asserting that "the party will confront this goal, which serves Israel, with a Karbala-like resistance," according to his expression.
Qassem said in a televised speech, broadcasted to the crowd, that the party "is living in a time of victories for the movement," as he put it.
He also noted that Hezbollah has been able to withstand and prevent Israel from achieving its goals, despite the severe Israeli strikes.
"Restoring Its Capabilities"
He pointed out that the group faced "a global war with the Israeli tool and unlimited American and European support, aimed at ending the resistance, but the party restored its leadership and continued in the battle," according to his expression.
Furthermore, Qassem announced that the party is restoring its capabilities, advancing, and is ready and present to defend against Israel.
Additionally, he claimed that "America, through its envoy Tom Barak, who incites the army against Hezbollah, wants to erase Lebanon and tie it to Israel."
He urged the government to "fulfill its duties and rebuild the towns in the south, instead of being distracted by other matters."
He also emphasized that the party is keen on national unity, "as long as all Lebanese are in one trench confronting Israel," according to his words.
