Netanyahu vows to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state and confirms negotiations with Syria
SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged this evening, Wednesday, to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.
This statement came just before his departure from Israel to New York to participate in the United Nations General Assembly meetings.
Netanyahu said, as SadaNews translated, commenting on the recognition of the Palestinian state by various countries, that the "shameful surrender" by some leaders to "Palestinian terrorism" will not obligate Israel in any way, and there will be no Palestinian state. He added.
In another context, Netanyahu's office confirmed that Israel is engaged in negotiations with Syria.
He reiterated that the conclusion of these negotiations is linked to ensuring Israel's interests, which include, among other things, disarmament in southwestern Syria and maintaining the safety and security of the Druze there.
