During its meeting: "Fatah's Central Committee" discusses the political, field, and organizational developments in Palestine
SadaNews - The Central Committee of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement "Fatah" discussed in a meeting held in Ramallah today, Wednesday, all the political, field, and organizational developments in Palestine.
The committee stated in its announcement that its meeting took place at a "time when our people and our just national cause are facing a comprehensive aggression in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, along with organized war crimes represented by genocide, systematic destruction, repeated displacement, attempts at forced displacement, daily attacks by settlers, land confiscation, and attempts to impose the colonial (E1) plan to cut the West Bank and isolate Jerusalem from its Palestinian surroundings".
It considered that "this plan violates United Nations Security Council Resolution (2334), which considers all colonialism in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, illegitimate. Amid the ongoing barriers, military gates, daily arrests, and the oppressive measures and collective punitive policies faced by detainees in the hands of the occupation, as well as the continuous violation of their basic rights and human dignity, in addition to the piracy of Palestinian tax funds and threats of annexation by the Israeli occupation authorities, and the targeting of the National Authority as a national and political achievement for our people," according to its statement.
The Central Committee welcomed the increasing wave of international recognitions of the State of Palestine, considering it a "historic step that reflects the justice of our cause, and affirms that what was stated in President Mahmoud Abbas's speech at the New York conference, where he said that Palestine is a state under occupation, places clear responsibilities on the international community to provide full protection for our people, and ensure political, legal, and financial support through an Arab and international safety net, until our people exercise their legitimate right to independence and freedom over all the lands of the Palestinian state occupied since June 4, 1967".
The committee stated that "the New York Declaration is a roadmap towards embodying the two-state solution, a turning point in the course of the conflict, and a political and legal opportunity that must be transformed into a tangible international commitment, compelling the occupation to withdraw, and placing the international community before its legal and moral responsibilities to force the Israeli occupation authorities to end their occupation of the lands of the Palestinian state".
It added that "the top priority for the Palestinian and Arab positions is to stop the genocide war and expedite the delivery of aid to our resistant people in the Gaza Strip. In this context, Fatah praises the steadfastness and sacrifices of our people in Gaza, their adherence to their land and homeland, and their complete rejection of attempts at displacement, alongside putting an end to the dangerous Israeli assaults in the West Bank and Jerusalem".
It emphasized the "adherence to our people's inalienable right to self-determination, and the embodiment of their independent sovereign Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and the rejection of all liquidation projects or partial solutions". According to its statement.
The committee reiterated that "the Palestine Liberation Organization is the legitimate and sole representative of our people, and it will remain the unifying framework for our national struggle, and protecting its unity and enhancing its status is a non-negotiable responsibility". It stated.
The committee also affirmed that "our national unity is our strongest weapon in confronting the occupation, and working on a comprehensive national program based on a single political system, a single law, and a single legitimate weapon enhances our people's ability to steadfastness and build their state". According to the statement.
It noted that "Jerusalem will remain our eternal capital, and what it suffers from colonialism, Judaization, house demolitions, and displacement of residents, as well as targeting Islamic and Christian sanctities, is an assault on our people's identity and land, and it will not be allowed to pass".
The committee condemned the oppressive and punitive policies, and retaliatory measures faced by detainees, considering them violations of human rights and international law.
It pointed out that "the National Authority is a national achievement for our people, and a unifying institution, and attempts by the occupation to undermine it or threaten it with annexation and financial and political targeting are part of its project to liquidate the cause, and we will not allow it to pass, and our people will remain a formidable barrier against the occupation authorities".
Regarding the Palestinian right in international forums, the Central Committee of "Fatah" emphasized that "depriving the Palestinian delegation of visas to enter the United States will not silence the voice of Palestine, for the voice of our people has reached the entire world, and it will continue to knock on all doors of international justice until freedom and independence are achieved". According to its statement.
It renewed its support for all forms of legitimate popular resistance against the occupation, affirming that "the steadfastness of our people in Gaza, the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the diaspora is the protective shield for the national project".
The Central Committee reviewed and discussed the Arab, Islamic, and international diplomatic activities that took place at the United Nations, and was briefed on several concluding proposals for security and peace for all in the Middle East, the results of President Trump’s meeting with leaders of Arab and Islamic countries in New York, and the stance of the Palestinian leadership regarding the post-Gaza plan and the road to lasting peace.
It expressed appreciation for the positions of Arabs and friends in the world, calling for "continued political, economic, and humanitarian support for our people, and strengthening the Arab and international safety net to protect our cause and rights, and the movement salutes the peoples of the world for their continuous activism alongside our Palestinian people against the crimes of the occupation".
Regarding the internal situation of Fatah, the Central Committee confirmed that "the movement, as the backbone of the national project, remains true to its commitment to its masses, cohesive, united, and moving forward in enhancing its political and organizational presence, to remain at the forefront of the Palestinian struggle and protector of the independent national decision".
The Central Committee decided to keep its meetings open to follow up on events related to the Palestinian cause and its developments.
