Bezhakian Criticizes Israeli Attacks Amid Talks
SadaNews - Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian began his speech at the General Assembly with a sharp attack on Israel's policy, including its declaration of war on Iran in June, criticizing the European powers' efforts to reinstate UN sanctions on Iran.
Bezhakian announced that his country "does not seek to develop a nuclear weapon based on the fatwa of the Iranian Supreme Leader."
He described the attacks on Iran amid nuclear talks as a "great betrayal." He said: "This blatant aggression dealt a severe blow to international trust and the prospects for peace in the region."
Bezhakian condemned the attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities subject to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and noted Israel's attempts to assassinate official Iranian representatives.
He also accused Israel of being behind the destabilization of Iran's internal situation and regional security.
He condemned the Israeli attack on Qatar and denounced the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
