Tim Hassan: "Lebanese People Are in My Heart Except for One Group"
SadaNews - While receiving the award for Best Arab Actor for his role in the series "Taht Saabi Ardh" at the Murex d'Or festival held last night in Beirut, Syrian actor Tim Hassan surprised the audience with an impromptu speech.
The star of "Al Hayba" confirmed that he has been living in Lebanon for years, emphasizing his love for the Lebanese people. He said, "Lebanese people are in the heart... except for one group, which is the bankers."
He added jokingly, "Where are our funds, my dear brothers?"
Additionally, the star actor sent a message of love to his country Syria, stressing that it has a history of civilization, art, and culture, wishing for its return to its former glory.
Lebanon has been experiencing an economic crisis since 2019, during which the local currency has lost 90% of its value against the US dollar.
Banks have also seized the funds of both Lebanese and foreign depositors, including businessmen and artists, restricting withdrawals to very small amounts amid rising prices.
It is worth mentioning that the series "Taht Saabi Ardh" included a group of elite Syrian stars, notably Mona Wassef, Karis Bashar, Anas Tayara, and Taysir Idris.
