Netanyahu: I do not rule out launching further strikes on Hamas leaders wherever they may be

SadaNews - On Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the attack on Hamas leaders in Doha "was a completely Israeli decision," indicating that he does not rule out launching more strikes on them "wherever they are."

Netanyahu clarified during a press conference with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio that "Israel bears full responsibility for the attack on Hamas leaders" that took place in Doha on Tuesday.

Netanyahu made a similar statement following the attack, saying that Israel planned and executed the operation and bears full responsibility for it.

He considered there is "hypocrisy" regarding the condemnation of Israel following the attack on Doha.

Although Hamas announced that its senior leaders survived the attack, Netanyahu affirmed that "it cannot be said that the airstrikes on Doha failed."

He added: "We have not finished receiving final reports about Hamas leaders in Doha."

He said that the Doha attack is "a message to the terrorists that they can hide but cannot escape," noting that "there is no immunity for Hamas in any country."

Netanyahu continued: "I do not rule out launching further strikes on Hamas leaders wherever they are. We want to ensure that Hamas will no longer pose a threat to Israel from today onward."

On the other hand, Netanyahu praised U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to attack Iran last June, saying it was "a message from Washington to defend itself and its allies."

He regarded that "the United States is Israel's best ally," adding: "Our alliance with the United States is at its best today, and Trump is a great friend of Israel."
